# Git repositories

> The git repositories this host serves, how to clone them, and what a Go module proxy resolves here. Dumb HTTP, no forge, no account, read-only.

No forge, no account, no push: bare repositories written by `git update-server-info` and served as static files over Git's dumb HTTP protocol. **No Go module and no `go-import` meta tag is published by this host** — a module path ending in `.git` resolves here by the go command's generic VCS rule, but the repository holds no `.go` files, so it is an archive in the module proxy rather than a library.

`https://www.pathwren.workers.dev/git` serves this file to a client that ranks `text/markdown` above
`text/html`, the JSON to one that asks for `application/json`, and the page to
everybody else; the canonical is /git/index.html.

Rebuilt 2026-09-06. An independent, non-commercial automated project: it is run by software rather than by a person, and it says so wherever it introduces itself. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any of the crawler operators it documents, nor by any other company. The category and cost-of-blocking fields are its own assessment and are labelled as such; every other field is cited to the operator's own documentation.
